Next up, finishing previously written songs for the album thats been in limbo for awhile now.

Not sure if i'll get an album done by fall, probably an ep with an album next year to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary since the birth of the project (technically this year is 10 years). I'd prefer the album to be new new stuff.
Then i'm working on a track for the more metal driven project Spawn of the Dead.

New music project action has started, as soon as Jesse moves into his new place and sets his stuff up we'll be finishing up some songs already in progress. industrial meets death metal and every sub genre in between. Sounds really good so far, got another guy we are working with too. Gonna release a few singles first to get warmed up.
Still doing Andraculoid, Mika called today but i missed him so hopefully i can send him some new tracks to input on.
Its fun to make music again.

Final pics of the Silver Bullet wolf for now - no image cut, i worked on this for awhile so you have to endure some of the pain lol.
A few screen caps that influenced the sculpt, colors are a little off in the caps, the open eye is squintier when he is roaring, i might try an eye insert in my personal copy to get this effect. The bloody eye scene is earlier in the film when he gets the rocket to the eye via corey haim of all people.
The annoying thing is they used like 5 different heads in the movie. Which you barely even see.

Here be my new mask, the wolf from Silver Bullet as seen in the end of the film after his eye got shot out with a rocket and it healed over. I'm doing them as clean wounded eye (slimey) or bloody like when it gets shot. This one will be bloody but i wanted to take clean pics first. Still have some drool to add and a base for it among some last minute grooming. But he's almost there. This one is bigger than my demons mask, the hair was pretty expensive, it has two sets of resin teeth and a tongue. The eye is glass. Please to be enjoying. More pics to follow.

Next Saturday i start on the new music project with Jesse of cult of cadavers/skeletal meltdown...this is gonna be sick. I haven't been this psyched to work on music in a long time.
Also, the tracks for the new Andrac album i was working on off and on will probably become an ep, cause the new direction of the third album is gonna be dark, doomy, stuff. The stuff i was writing before was clubbier, prolly cause of all the hardstyle/hardcore/trance stuff i was listening to at the time.
Its on!

So as we ALL know, Kara is coo coo for david cook.
Well turns out there was a challenge on his site er sumthin and she roped me into helping her out with doing a version of the song. At first the thought of it made me cringe but then the idea of working on a goofball song with her sounded fun. The results are pretty hilarious and kara did a pretty cool robo video to go along with it. If you can stomach listening to the original version (also very easily found on youtube) you can see how our version is vastly different. Sound and video have been compressed by evil youtube but you can hear the better audio version by mp3 at the bottom of this post.

Next year marks Andraculoid's 10th anniversary.
It has been an interesting 10 years.
But its time to lay this beast to rest for awhile.
I'm not saying the project is dead. I'm just putting it to sleep in a coffin for awhile until i feel the need to resurrect it.
With that said....
I will finish and release the 3rd album. I'm going to try to wrap it all up by the end of the year. We'll see, its pretty much the end of the year already - but a 3rd album will happen fairly soon.
Next year - Jesse (cult of cadavers/skeletal meltdown) and I will be working on a brand new project together. I will finish my album, he will finish his, then we are focusing on the new project. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't. But i am very excited about this because i haven't done anything like this before and i think its gonna be awesome. Over the past 5 years i got back into every type of music or band that i was ever really into and my tastes span a variety of styles. We plan to take these styles and create a new sound. The bottom line is we want to make music we like and would want to buy. If you dig it, great. If not, fine.

| Monster Shirts ARE HERE! |

Yes after a few months of planning, the monster shirts are here!
Along with releasing some new masks for the halloween season i am also planning to do a short run t-shirt line of vintage monster/halloween character designs. I have close to 30 different designs ready to go but will offer the shirts 2 designs at a time for a limited time. I'm not really interested in making hundreds of these, i thought it would be cool to make some neato limited run shirts for monster nuts like myself. Shirts that the majority of the people out there won't ever have. You'll be a hit a conventions and/or clubs haha!
So for now my plan is - every week starting today up until i run out of designs i will offer 2 new designs per week. I will take orders for the designs for 1 week and then the shirts will be printed and shipped. I'm not saying if you straggle in late you won't get one, but in order to keep costs down and the designs coming i want to get as many up front as possible. I have a friend who does screen printing and his work is amazing. The turn around time is also extremely fast.
So to get the ball rolling, heres the first 2 designs!
Dracula from the 1920's play, yes even before Dracula ever hit the big screen! I have always loved this graphic so much it had to be done in shirt form.
Devil mask from the 1920's - back when kids apparently wore cardboard masks instead of the awesome latex ones we are spoiled to have today.
Who doesn't love a great lookin devil??
These designs will be on black 100% Gildan pre-shrunk cotton shirts using durable ink. The sizes run correct so if you wear an XL normally you want to order an XL. I have had other printers in the past use shirts that were a size off and i know how annoying that can be when you order an XL and you basically get a Large!
The price is $20 shipped in the usa or canada for one shirt, $35 shipped in the usa or canada if you buy both shirts. Any other country interested will have to contact me for shipping rates.
Paypal - kaiju@optikonrekords.com with how many you want and sizes. I will be putting the order into production Sept. 16th so try to get your order in asap. Shirts will be ready by the 23rd and i will ship them in the order paid via priority mail with delivery confirmation.
